Skylar studies cooperation, competition, and small group dynamics in virtual environment with game-like rules and systems. She draws from social and cognitive psychology, behavioral game theory, and game studies to examine how people interact with each other in settings with overlapping yet conflicting goals or other forms of interdependence. She also plays competitive games a lot despite being bad at them.
